Thursday, March 24, 2016 will be a DRESS DOWN day for students for at least a $2 donation to the Heroes for Hungry Children fundraiser. Students may wear comfortable clothing (jeans, hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, etc.) to school for a donation. Please remember that all clothing must still be school appropriate (no holes, tears, inappropriate language or graphics, etc.)
All money will go towards meeting our fundraising goal of at least $7000 (Propel-wide) to be donated to the HEROES FOR THE HUNGRY campaign. For the second year Propel Schools are partnering with other charter schools in Pittsburgh to make an impact in the community. This year we are raising money and awareness for hungry children in our area. This is a very worthy cause, as food insecurity is definitely an issue for not only our families, but countless children across the region. The long-term effects of child hunger can include health issues, poor job readiness, behavioral issues and challenges in education.
All money raised will be sent directly to the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Please help us to raise money for the hungry! Thank you!
