Propel ASHS will be hosting an open mic event for our students, families, faculty and friends. Come through and support the amazing talent of our Propel High School Students! The theme of this open mic is “Black to the Future”, a celebration of African American History month. Our goal is for students to not only reflect on the past victories and progress made by African Americans but to look at the current needs for change and progress and for them to raise their voices about the changes they are going to make today and in the future! For more information please contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see you there!
On 2-3-17 the ASHS Boys Panthers were defeated by Winchester Thurston in a close game on Friday night. They will wrap up their regular season on Monday, February 13th against Elizabeth Forwward High School. We will celebrate seniors, Chase Cannon and Alonzo Williams that night. Please join us!
On 2-2-17 we celebrated Senior Night for the Lady Panthers, celebrating our senior Allani Mosley. Although the girls were defeated by Sewickley Academy, it was great to see how much they have improved over the course of the season.
Propel is excited to host the University of Pittsburgh’s “Investing Now” Program. Created in 1988, this is a college preparatory program created to stimulate, support, and recognize the high academic performance of pre-college students from groups that are historically underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics majors and careers. The purpose of the program is to ensure that participants are well prepared for matriculation to the collegiate level.
Program focus areas include student support (academic advising, tutoring, workshops), academic enrichment (summer program and hands-on-science and engineering activities), college planning (college preparation and financial aid workshops), career awareness career seminars and summer research) and parent involvement.
Families of 8th grade students are invited to attend an informational meeting!
