How do I apply for a position?
Follow this link. You must create an account to submit an application.
What happens after I apply?
After your application is received, it will be reviewed by our talent management team. If your qualifications are aligned with our current needs, we will contact you regarding the next steps in our selection process. Please note that during peak recruiting season (March-July), applicant inquiries are extremely high. Thank you for your patience in allowing us to give each application the individual attention it deserves during this timeframe.
How should I proceed if I’m interested in more than one position?
We recognize that many applicants may qualify for more than one position. However, you do not need to complete multiple applications for different positions. When you apply, you will be asked which grade levels and content areas you are most passionate about. Every applicant is considered for all openings for which they are qualified.
What is the selection process for teachers?
Selected applicants will be invited to attend a group interview event or be sent a video interview to complete. After an interview, selected applicants will be asked to complete a 20 minute demonstration in front of students and if successful, will be invited back to complete a 40 minute demonstration in front of students. After a second demonstration is complete, a hiring decision will be made. If you have been hired, you may be placed into the “hiring pool” and will receive communication that you have been recommended for hire. Being placed in the hiring pool does not guarantee a position with Propel Schools. Offers will depend on whether a position that matches your certification and demonstrated areas of strength becomes available.
Propel has 11 schools. How will placement be determined?
During the application process, you can specify your school, grade level and subject area preferences. The talent management team will review your preferences when considering your placement. However, all applications to Propel are reviewed for all of our schools and the ultimate placement decision is based on your qualifications and your fit with the needs of a particular school.
